There’s a certain kind of country music that doesn’t fade, the kind that sticks with you. The kind you heard on the radio years ago and still know every word to today.
On Saturday, July 25, that sound comes to Harken Hall as Andy Griggs takes the stage for a night built on timeless hits, Southern soul, and pure country storytelling.
Raised in Monroe, Louisiana, Griggs grew up on a rich mix of influences — Jerry Lee Lewis, Waylon Jennings, Bill Monroe — blending country, blues, gospel, and rock into a sound uniquely his own. That signature style helped land him 13 singles on the Billboard country charts, including six Top 10 hits and chart-toppers like “You Won’t Ever Be Lonely” and “She’s More.” Decades later, those songs still resonate, delivered with the same heart and grit that made them hits in the first place.
The evening begins with The Messyboyz at 7 p.m., setting the tone with a high-energy mix of country, rock, and pop. Led by Les Richardson and Dallas Hendrix, the band is known for electrifying performances, crowd interaction, and an infectious energy that turns every show into an experience. Their emphasis on fun, familiar songs, and nonstop momentum makes them the perfect kickoff to the night.
This is more than a concert, this show is a chance to step into an intimate room, hear songs you grew up on, and experience them in a way you can’t anywhere else.
