Devon Allman has been immersed in the world of blues and rock his entire life. As the son of the legendary Gregg Allman, Devon grew up surrounded by the rich musical legacy of the Allman Brothers Band, a group that played a pivotal role in shaping the Southern rock and blues sound.

Jimmy Hall, a veteran singer, harmonica player and saxophonist whose soulful voice and blues-tinged rock and roll have captivated audiences for decades. He first gained fame as the lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist for the Southern rock group Wet Willie, whose 1974 hit “Keep on Smilin’” reached the Billboard Top 10. Hall’s career has included solo work, high-profile collaborations with artists such as Jeff Beck and Hank Williams Jr., and contributions to the Devon Allman Project’s Blues Summit, where his fiery harmonica and emotive vocals are highlights of the all-star lineup.

Adding to the lineup’s historical legacy is Larry McCray. McCray is a legendary blues guitarist and singer renowned for his soulful sound and emotive guitar work. Born in Magnolia, Arkansas, and raised in Saginaw, Michigan, McCray has carved out a prominent place in the blues music scene with his powerful voice and deft guitar playing. Emerging onto the scene in the late 1980s, he quickly gained attention for his blend of contemporary blues, rock, and soul influences.

Rounding out the Devon Allman Blues Summit is the powerhouse vocalist Laka Soul. Laka is a St. Louis–based soul singer and songwriter celebrated for her powerful vocals and magnetic stage presence. Raised in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, she blends soul, blues, jazz, R&B and pop into high-energy performances that connect deeply with audiences. She gained widespread recognition for St. Louis Woman, a one-woman tribute honoring iconic Black female artists, showcasing her range as both a vocalist and storyteller.

As the next generation of Allman music, Devon continues to innovate and captivate audiences with his skillful guitar playing and compelling songwriting. His artistic contributions are proof of his impact on the blues rock as both a deeply personal and universally resonant genre. Through his performances and recordings, Devon Allman ensures that the music that has always been so important to his family continues to thrive and inspire new audiences.
