Matthew and Gunnar NELSON

Multiplatinum recording artists Matthew and Gunnar Nelson take the stage at Harken Hall on May 30 at 7:00 p.m. for a special acoustic performance that puts the focus exactly where it belongs, on the songs.

Best known as the twin brothers behind NELSON, they first rose to prominence with their debut album After The Rain and the No. 1 hit “(I Can’t Live Without Your) Love and Affection.” Now, they return to the stage with new music on the way, offering audiences a rare chance to hear both the hits and what’s next in a stripped-down, up-close setting.

This acoustic show highlights the heart of what has always set them apart: sharp songwriting, rich harmonies, and a sound that blends rock, pop, and country influences into something unmistakably their own.

The evening opens with a truly special performance from Vicki Peterson and John Cowsill. Peterson is founding member of The Bangles, and Cowsill, longtime drummer and vocalist for The Beach Boys and original member of The Cowsills. Together, they bring their debut Americana project Long After The Fire to the stage, a heartfelt collection of songs written by John’s late brothers, Barry and Bill Cowsill.

Blending the spirit of Roy Orbison and The Everly Brothers, these songs feel both timeless and newly discovered, pulled from deep within the Cowsill family archives. Audiences can expect a set that weaves new material with beloved classics, including hits like “Walk Like An Egyptian” and “Eternal Flame,” all brought to life with stories that make the music even more meaningful.

While their roots run deep in some of America’s most iconic musical families, this night is about connection. New songs. Legendary hits. Real stories. The kind of experience you only get in a room like this.

An evening of iconic voices, powerful songwriting, and music history, all on one stage.
