Rix Roundup

Rick Jobe and the Wonderin' Cowboys take the stage for an evening of classic Western swing inspired by the legendary Texas dance halls. This ensemble delivers the rich, danceable sound that made Western swing a beloved American tradition.

Rick Jobe, the event producer of Rix Roundup, is a veteran band leader whose background includes performing as a staff musician at Joe Namath's Supper Club. He also toured with Columbia recording artist Vic Dana and spent four decades leading Rick Jobe and Tuxedo Junction. Rick later became a multimedia producer for clients including Disney and NASA and has recorded GRAMMY Award-winning singers. In midlife, he became an ordained minister, serving the homeless and teaching as a college professor before retiring to full-time performing in Nashville. He currently leads two bands, Rick Jobe and the Wonderin' Cowboys and the Jobros.

50 Shades of Hay

This all star ensemble plays a blend of Classic Country, Western Swing and Bluegrass, with blazing solos. With singer/songwriter Wendy Newcomer on lead vocals, the boys bring the harmony like the Jordanaires did for Patsy Cline. When Eamon McLoughlin and Paul Kramer take the lead on fiddle, mandolin and guitar, these triple threats impart unforgettable solos. Multi-instrumentalist Rory Hoffman brings magic and creativity to anything he plays, including accordion, mandolin, harmonica and guitar. Bassist David Spicher brings the rhythm low end on a big upright bass. He, along with Grammy-winning drummer Gregg Stocki, provide the rhythm bed.
